Loggerfish › Switching from another app

Your PADI dives, finally yours to keep

Type or paste your PADI dives into Loggerfish once, and from then on every dive is yours to export as Excel, UDDF or a full backup. Free, on every plan, for good. The PADI app lists no export; Loggerfish is built around one.

What the PADI app lists

We read the PADI app’s own pages: its page on padi.com and its App Store listing. They describe a digital logbook and name no way to export it. That is what PADI lists; we have not opened the app itself, which needs an account. If the app has an export we missed, tell us and we will correct this page.

Loggerfish is a logbook, not a course platform. Keep whichever app you need for your courses and cards.

Bringing your PADI dives across

  1. Open the PADI app’s logbook on your phone, and Loggerfish on a computer or tablet.
  2. Open each dive in turn and copy its date, site, maximum depth and bottom time, plus anything else you want to keep.
  3. In Loggerfish, open the import and choose the PADI app option. A grid opens: type the dives into it, or paste rows from a spreadsheet. Columns with recognisable headings go into the right place.
  4. Read the preview. Nothing is saved until you confirm.

There is no file to import, because the PADI app lists no export. Once your dives are in Loggerfish, you can export them whenever you like.
